My Story

UPDATE 9/9/25:

Along with raising funds for breast cancer I have the opportunity to walk the last 100 kilometers of the Camino de Santiago, April 2026. I must reach $5k by September 15th!

This year I will be walking Pledge the Pink in SC. Pledge the Pink raises funds for regional hospitals and clinics in the Southeast. Places like Mayo Clinic, Northside Hospital, American Cancer Society, Beaufort Memorial Hospital and Hollings Cancer Center are just a few of the recipients in years past. As an added bonus, if a team and/ or individual raises 5K, they get to pick where a percentage of their funds go!

I have participated in many fundraising events for breast cancer. This will be my 5th year doing PTP. Last year we talked my #1 bestie into walking with us…..Rusty had no idea what he signed up for, lol. He had so much fun , he’s doing it again! I hope you will continue to support me with a donation, no matter the amount. All funds raised provide gap funding for budget restricted , nonprofit service providers across the country. Did you know that $100 can fund a mammogram?
