My Story

Pledge the Pink is a 3-day, 30 mile walk to raise funds in the fight against breast cancer. In 2025, the event will take place in mid-October in Fripp Island, SC. PTP provides grants to fund breast cancer research efforts and community service organizations supporting those fighting breast cancer. It also provides funding for mammograms for women who cannot otherwise afford them.

Team Virginia is a group of friends, spouses and partners with ties to Northern Virginia, all of whom are committed to finding a cure for breast and other forms of cancer. I have participated in breast cancer walks for the last 12 years because of my many friends and relatives who have fought this terrible fight with cancer. I am committed to continue to raise funds for this organization in 2025, whether or not I am able to participate in the actual walking event (knee surgery this year)..
