Donna Perez’s 2020 Pledge The Pink
of $3,500 goal
since November 1st, 2019
I imagine you walking the distance around Roseville in your pink tutu. It was only by accident that I found this.
One step at a time! Thank you for your commitment.
Proud of you!

9 years ago I decided to ‘celebrate’ turning 60 by walking 60 miles for breast cancer, which I’d not done since I was a ‘young’ 50 yr. old. Never in a million years did I think I’d walk every year of my 60’s, and now as I turn 69 I’m finishing out my 60’s with my second Pledge the Pink race this coming October. Since 2011 I’ve raised $45,950.00 thanks to the remarkable support of the most generous, loving and supportive friends I could ever have; and have logged 335 official miles in 9 walks (and thousands of training miles).
In the past 9 years, too many of you have been affected by this horrible disease. Some of you have lost beloved Mothers, Sisters, Aunts, Uncles and friends— and more than a few of you have earned the title ‘Survivor’, which is fueling me to come back AGAIN and ask for your support this year. If you’ve heard the words “You have breast cancer” — I’ll be walking to honor you. If you’ve lost a loved one, I’ll be walking to remember them and keep their story alive. Each of the 100+ cards I’ll be carrying remind me that this disease has no boundaries regarding gender or ethnicity or religion or race or sexual orientation, and all have a place on the cards I carry.
Please trust me when I say that no donation is too small or too large, I’ll be eternally grateful for ANY and ALL received. If you’re not able to financially sponsor me, please send a good thought or prayer that for the 10th year in a row I’ll be able to do what I can to end this disease. From the bottom of my heart, and the soles of my feet I thank you in advance for all of your support.
