My Story

I will be walking in Oak Island, N.C. for Pledge The Pink Cancer initiative on October 20 through October 22, 2023.  I did it for the first time in 2019 and 2020 was virtual. In 2021 we all were able to come back together in Hilton Heal and in 2022 we were in Fripp Island; it is always an amazing and rewarding experience. I’ve decided to do it again in 2023 and get my Flockstar on! The walk covers 33.1 miles, in 3 days, and I’ll be walking with hundreds of individuals trying to make a difference just like me.  Everyone walks for different reasons.  I walk in memory of my aunt and my sister in-law’s mother. I walk in honor of my friends, their friends and all future generations of women and men in hope for a cure.  
I ask for your support by donating any amount you feel comfortable with. The easiest way to donate is by using my on-line fundraising web site.
