The Pledge the Pink 30 mile Walk is a blast! In craaaazy 2020 I walked (virtually) with my Team Terry’s Angels. You may remember me and my participation in the 39.3 mile Avon Walks to End Breast Cancer. I began the Walks in 2009. I walked for my mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, first cousins, loved ones, friends and friends of friends. In October of 2017 I was diagnosed with invasive lobular carcinoma in my right breast. They found it in my annual mammogram. SO GET YOUR MAMMOGRAMS! I had a bilateral mastectomy in January, 2018. Having met at the Walks so many survivors, having seen their courage and joy despite it all, I was not afraid. Just uplifted. I can’t imagine having to go through a breast cancer diagnosis and treatment without support. I was blessed. The real and most important reason to do BC Walks is to raise funds for research and to support those battling Breast Cancer. Please donate to fight breast cancer and support those going through the journey. Thank you for donating. It WILL make a difference in so many lives.
