My Story
WHY I WALK
After participating in 8 SGK 3-Day walks, this year I am so excited to have made the decision to walk the Pledge the Pink 3 day 30 mile.
I continue to walk in memory of my mom Alyce, who will always be my inspiration. I walk in memory of my dad, my brother Eugene, my brother Dale and my Grandmother Edna. I walk in memory of my dear friend Sharon. We lost each of them to some form of cancer. I walk in memory of or in honor of numerous family members and friends who have been stricken with one type of cancer or another. And I walk for myself! Diagnosed in Sept 2010. Bilateral mastectomy, reconstructive surgery and chemo. I am now cancer free! I will continue to fight this battle until we no longer have a reason to walk!
