My Story
Hello Friends:
I am reaching out to each of you with the hopes that you can consider donating to my upcoming walk. Did you know that $100 funds a mammogram? Which means that every 100 dollars I get donated could save a life.
As many of you know, this past year has been a challenging one for me and my family with my husband’s second battle with cancer. While his scan is now clear and tomorrow, we have the port removed, there are a lot of others that are still fighting that battle. I have many friends who have had and continue to fight breast cancer. Many are survivors but some have been lost to this terrible disease. Me and a group of friends are once again doing a 33.1 mile walk on October 17-20 to help raise money for Breast Cancer.
We have a team of ladies this year, “Loco Lady Lumps” and we are there to represent all our friends and families who have a loved one who has battled cancer. This year my personal goal is $5,000. To get to this goal no amount is too small. Every dollar counts. So, bypass that Starbucks, donate the amount you would pay to buy me a glass of nice wine. Even a dollar from everyone I reach out to will add up, so keep in mind, any amount will do.
The overall goal for the event is $750k and I have faith that we will be able to make that goal.
