My Story

This weekend is my 7th Pledge the Pink 30 mile breast cancer walk, and it’s once again AMAZING!!! This year’s location is back on Fripp Island, SC and my team, Hope For The Future, is excited and ready to go! Our current team of 8 members includes 4 breast cancer survivors…and we walk to help make sure there are many more survivors!

We do team fundraising through our participation serving food at Thomason’s Olde Thyme Herb Farm’s Sweet Potato Festival in September, and donations from very generous area businesses. We truly appreciate all of the support that friends, family and others lend by participating in these events. Our team, Hope for The Future, has raised over $6,000 and we get to designate where 75% goes….and we are donating back to our LOCAL community by supporting the UPMC cancer fund this year.

Any donation, large or small, is GREATLY appreciated.
