My Story

My name is Wendy Copeland, my first PTP (Loco-Motion) was in 2016 at Hilton Head. I set out to do this event as a personal challenge, 30 miles in 3 days! Heck yeah! Man was I crazy! I learned so much about myself, my body and met so many amazing people while doing this. I could not think of a better cause to help support while challenging myself in the process. After 30 plus years providing Medical Imaging test to patients, seeing those patients exam after exam, sharing in their struggles ,fighting their fight, PTP is one way I can continue to provide support to the Breast CA community. When I started participating, $50 covered a mammogram now it is $100. For every $100 raised, a Mammogram can be funded in a community for someone that can not afford one. The Breast CA fight begins with the discovery of the disease, which requires a screening Mammogram or diagnostic test.

The Pledge the Pink weekend, is a weekend filled with love, caring, empowerment, frindship, laughter, tears, blisters, walking for others, walking in honor of loved ones, survivors or others fighting the fight.
