Team Story
Sharon Godar, Aunt, Sister-in-Law, Friend….the reason why Wendy first wanted to walk. Wendy and Pam started our flock and walked the Fripp Pledge The Pink event in 2022. A few joined in for the 2023 walks on Oak Island, and more expected for 2024!
We walk in memory of Sharon, our fun and flamingo-loving fighter who we’re named after. We walk in memory of grandmothers, mothers, aunts, sisters and friends. We walk in honor of those who have survived. We walk for those in the middle of their cancer journey. Most importantly, we walk to raise money to find a cure for this terrible disease. We long for the day no one ever has to lose a loved one to cancer again.
