Sister-by-Sister We Pledge the Pink

We are two of the four Altieri sisters- Liz Altieri and Lynette Altieri Mills. We carry the ATM gene mutation, a lesser known risk factor for breast and other cancers. Our sister Nicki lives in California and is unable to join us but will be walking with us in spirit!

Our sister Angela, our mother, and our father all had breast cancer. Angela died in 2005 at age 50 of metastatic cancer. We also have had many friends and family members who have battled breast cancer.

We walk in honor and memory of these family and friends, and are completing the 30-Mile Pledge the Pink walk on Amelia Island October 17-20. All contributions will go to the Pledge the Pink Foundation which distributed almost $580K last year for breast cancer screening, treatment, and research.
