My Story

We lost my mom to cancer in January 2018 just before her 68th birthday. She was surrounded by her children who reflected the love that she bestowed in all of us. I vowed to carry on the fight for a cure even though her body could no longer fight. I will not fill her shoes because I can not begin to understand the pain she endured. I will not pretend to know or understand the burden that cancer had on her, but I know the cost cancer has had on my family and me. It’s difficult to articulate the sorrow and lose in my heart. This world lost an angel. I refuse to just sit in this sorrow. That would dishonor the courageous women I walk for and to the many who still are fighting and to those who will soon find out they to need to fight. Please join with me on this walk and together we will fight and together we will remember and together we can make a difference.
