My Story

We are walking because WE CAN! We are sisters who were each diagnosed with the very early stages of two types of breast cancer at age 49. We both had mastectomies with different kinds of reconstruction (2019, 2022) and total hysterectomies (2023, 2024). We are so fortunate not to have required any further treatment other than hormone blockers. Those are no joke but we continue to push ourselves which is why we are taking on this challenge. We are also walking for our mom, cousin, great aunts, and friends who have bravely faced this diagnosis. Early detection is the KEY! And access to mammograms is a crucial first step.
