My Story

I am a mother, a wife, a surgeon, a daughter – and I am a 3-year breast cancer survivor. Cancer took so much from me when I was just hitting my stride in life. I cried, I raged, I prayed on my knees to LIVE – and then I fought and scrapped and crawled and I somehow, by the grace of God, am still here and healthy and thriving. I walk for all my cancer sisters who cannot walk themselves. I walk for the mother who will be crushed by fear when she first finds out she has cancer. I walk for the women we have lost all too soon. I walk for my daughters and their future. I walk because I am so blessed to be ABLE to walk. I walk tall and proud, straight into a future that is bright and lovely. THANK YOU to all my friends and family for supporting me and loving me through this. I am a better person because of it… but I am changed and never will be the same.
