My Story
I am walking again for the SEVENTH year with Pledge the Pink and again I CANNOT WAIT!!! This year we will be walking in NC at Oak Island! How exciting! Breast cancer has struck my family and friends and I know that having a mammogram is the first detection! This past year alone I learned that THREE of my friends have been diagnosed with breast cancer and thankfully they detected early due to a mammogram and self detection. Being able to support women who aren’t able to means so much and makes my heart happy that we can do this! I appreciate the support I receive from my family and friends with all my crazy fundraising.
Did you know that $100 funds a mammogram? Last year in 2020 I was able to raise almost $1000 with YOUR help and support! I would love to be able to raise $1000 in 2021!
As a team of PTP we recognize these heroic donations by placing a plastic pink flamingo in our annual Flocks of Love display for every mammogram raised. Our Flocks of Love has held the Guinness World Record for several years, and with your help, we will shatter our previous records and our flock will stand over 5000 strong again 2022.
That means 5000 men and women across the country will be able to receive free mammograms during the scariest 15 minutes of their lives.
