My Story
I am headed back to South Carolina for Pledge the Pink a 3 day 30 mile walk for breast cancer. Every mile is dedicated to the millions of people who have battled breast cancer. Survivors walk with us, those who have lost loved ones walk with us and
those who are still fight walk with us. Prevention is a key player in this fight and every $100 donated pays for a mammogram for someone who can’t afford it.
My mother and Aunt lost their battles with cancer. My sister and cousin are survivors. Other dear ones have battled and are still battling this disease. I know there are many good causes but having known people who did not get mammograms /screening who discovered they had breast cancer after it had spread I see this ias a Way to save a life. I don’t really care if you donate to me. I probably won’t be able to walk the 30 miles. But please get screened for breast cancer. Do monthly breast checks and get mammograms as recommended by your doctor.
