My Story
Did you know that one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime? Breast cancer is also the 2nd leading cause of cancer related death among women.
In 2019 and 2021 I attended Pledge the Pink. This reality continues to hit me smack in the face as five women in my friend circle were diagnosed with breast cancer just in the past year.
These women in my life each have battled cancer in the middle of this horrid pandemic and continue to raise families, work jobs, and take care of their furry family members. My own grandmother fought her own battle with this cancer in her late 60’s.
Please help join me in raising funds to pay for breast cancer research and to help pay for mammograms. My own friend Emily had to pay for hers entirely out of pocket even though she had insurance because her doctor didn’t believe she could have breast cancer when she was diagnosed in her 20’s.
