My Story
This marks my 12th year as a survivor. I am so blessed to have the support of my family and friends and to be able to watch my girls grow into beautiful women. My family has been struck hard by this disease with the loss 26 years ago of my sister in law Tama, and with my other sister in law Jane having also fought and fortunately survived the battle.
In 2022, an estimated 287,850 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected to be diagnosed in women in the U.S., along with 51,400 new cases of non-invasive (in situ) breast cancer. About 2,710 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected to be diagnosed in men.
This is where you all come in. Your donation to organizations such as Pledge the Pink, help women and men who may not otherwise be able to, get the screenings. The money goes toward research to find a cure.
Thanks to fundraisers such as Pledge The Pink, more people will be able to get the costly treatments that they may not otherwise be able to afford. Thanks to all of you for your generosity, researchers are making headways into better survival rates, and hopefully prevention.
