My Story
This will be my second year as a participant in the Pledge the Pink. In 2018 I found this to be very heartwarming, shed tears and really enjoyed meeting other participants that have had Cancer, family members that have died from Cancer and participants going through cancer!
So with this being said, I am very honored to be walking again with thousands of others who have made the same commitment to help raise awareness and funding for this devastating disease. Pledge the Pink supports the fight by funding biopsies, treatment, and research. Every penny of those proceeds goes straight to 501 (c)(3) nonprofits, such as the American Cancer Society, Mayo Clinic, Hollings Cancer Center, Volunteers in Medicine, Comprehensive Health Services, and countless other cancer-fighting beneficiaries. These dollars provide funding for heroic, budget-restricted, non-profit, service providers.
I have committed to raise at least $500 but my real goal is $800. I am committed to walk the 3 days 30 miles on 3 islands in South Carolina. I am going to need the support from friends and family to help me reach my goal and I am hoping I can count on you to be part of my support. So please click on the “Donate Now” link on the page and please keep in mind no donation is too small and every bit counts and of course all donations are tax deductible.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart for you support and encouragement. When I walk the 30 miles in October I will know that you were a special part of my journey and of the journey of so many others along the way!
