My Story

Hi Friends and Family, I am participating in the Pledge the Pink 2024 breast cancer walk/run and I would sincerely appreciate your support for this fundraiser and my goal.

In 2015, I heard the words, “You have breast cancer.” Thankfully my Stage 1 IDC was found early because of my annual mammogram. This will be the 7th time I have participated in Pledge the Pink. This year I am celebrating 8 years cancer-free!! I walk because today I am healthy! I walk because I want this disease to disappear completely.

One of my favorite shirts from the 2018 walk said “I walk so little girls will grow up in a world where pink bows are for ponytails and prom dresses.” Yes, this is my prayer!

Every $100 funds a mammogram and gets me a Flamingo in our Flock of Love!. Our overall goal this year is $750,000! Can you help us meet this goal?
