My Story
People ask me why I do it. Why have I raised money for non profits for the last 15 years?
The short answer is that we still have work to do to find a cure for cancer.
The long answer is that my mother passed away from breast cancer and my father survived prostate cancer, so it’s personal.
Now that both my parents are gone, this is my way to honor their memories. This is a way to feel closer to them and to let them know that their little girl is ok. This is a way to give hope to others.
Although this walk requires no fundraising, I feel it my duty to put some money towards the cause.
For every $100 donated, a mammogram is paid for!
$5 can add up to a Mammogram! AND, if I raise $5000, I can choose any non profit I’d like to donate to!!!
Pledge the Pink is a tax deductible non profit and I’d like to help them out. Especially since they are so close to my hometown near Savannah, GA.
A great part of PTP is that it is run by volunteers, so no one is getting paid to manage the organization. 100% of the money goes to mammograms and help with expenses when those are diagnosed and going through treatment.
If you would like to donate in any amount of way, it is greatly appreciated. If you’d like to send well wishes and prayers, they are accepted too.
Thank you for all the years of helping me help others.
Love, Jenn
P.S. if you’d like to donate by mail, I’d be happy to send you a form with a stamped envelope, already addressed to send in. Just let me know.
