My Story
Julie’s Breast Cancer Journey and the Pledge the Pink Walk
My name is Julie, and my Stage IV breast cancer journey began unexpectedly in early 2025. This diagnosis changed my life and threw me into a whirlwind of challenges I never imagined.
But through it all, my journey wouldn’t have been possible without the unwavering support of my family and friends. Their love and encouragement have been my rock during the toughest days. Breast cancer has given me a new purpose: to advocate for early detection, support critical research efforts, and ensure that no one has to face this fight alone.
This October, I will be participating in the Pledge the Pink walk with a team of some of my BREAST friends in South Carolina. This incredible 3-day event will have us walking 5 or 10 miles each day! My personal goal is to walk 5 miles on Day 1, 10 miles on Day 2, and 5 miles on Day 3—making it a total of 20 miles over one amazing weekend.
I am reaching out to ask for your support. Please help Team Julie’s Boot Scootin’ Boobies raise funds for this great cause. For every $100 raised, a flamingo will be placed in the Field of Love, each representing one free mammogram. These donations will help provide thousands of men and women across the country with screenings during the scariest 15 minutes of their lives, as well as support other amazing cancer research initiatives.
