My Story

I am walking in Pledge the Pink a 3 day 30 mile walk in October in Amelia Island, FL to raise funds for breast cancer research and support services for breast cancer survivors. If we raise $5000 we get 75% of the money to bring back to local charities of our choice. My team has been fundraising to support a mobile mammogram van in Hanover. PA that provides free mammograms to those in need. My team is Hope for the Future and consists of 4 breast cancer survivors my sister Diana, Amanda, Tammy and myself plus friends Sharon, Cindy, Ruth and Genny. This is our 5th year participating in this event. We are training and will be walking 10 miles a day for 3 days around Amelia Island FL. Our Mascot is Fancy the Flamingo and for every $200 raised a plastic flamingo is placed to represent a free mammogram for someone in need. Please support my team and donate to this worthy cause.
