My Story
Once again I have committed to participating in a walk to end Breast Cancer. I am walking in Pledge the Pink on October 15-18th , this will be my 19th year participating in this type of event and I am now a cancer survivor. To all of you who have supported me in the past , you have my deepest heartfelt thanks, and I welcome you back as an important part of my “team”. It is easy for you to join me no walking involved, after all what is a few blisters between sisters and misters .
I continue to do these walks for many reasons but mainly because breast cancer touches everyone, and too many mothers, fathers, brother, sisters and friends have been lost to breast cancer.
While these walks may be hard they pale in comparison to a cancer diagnosis,routine chemo, radiation, surgery or worse. It is not easy watching a loved one fight for his or her life.A new case will be diagnosed every 3 minutes, and because of this I am committed to raising money and awareness. I will continue to do these walks with thousands of men and women until they find a cure.
