My Story
This will be my SIXTH (!) year walking 30 miles for Pledge the Pink. It is an event that is near and dear to my heart. Pledge the Pink Foundation is such a wonderful organization. The weekend is so hard to explain unless you experience it. Seeing the survivors walking (and honored to have two strong, beautiful, wonderful survivors on our team), and 1500 participants cheering each other on, the camaraderie of the entire weekend, laughing through the pain of blisters, falls, aches, and pains of the walk each day. It is an amazing experience and I am so honored to be able to do it.
Every $100 raised provides a mammogram that could save a life.
My initial fundraising goal is $1,500, but my personal goal is much higher to help reach the event goal of $1,000,000 to fight breast cancer!. When I first started walking for PTP in 2018, the event goal was $250,000 — it’s quadrupled (and we actually hit the $1,000,000 goal last year)!! That provided 10,000 (TEN THOUSAND) potentially life-saving mammograms – I wonder how many lives were changed, due to YOUR generosity?
The support of my friends and family the past five years have meant so much to me. I truly appreciate any donation, and please know no amount is too small! Be Flamazing!!!
