My Story
I started walking because my mom passed away due to breast cancer in 2000. I been blessed to walk and fundraise, since 2008, in the 3-day, 60 mile walks in Atlanta & San Diego. With Atlanta’s walk ending, I walked in Boston and San Diego in 2019, with hopes of walking all four 3-days in 2020…. Enter COVID-19 shutting everything down and throwing life for a loop with the new “normal”. As long as it all can go on, this will be my 4th year being blessed to participate in Pledge the Pink. It is such a fun and worthy event! The atmosphere is inspiring, the scenery is amazing and the ladies I have been able to spend time with have been a joy to be around. I walk for awareness. I walk for those who cannot. I walk in memory of those we have lost and in honor of those who survive!
