My Story

A 9 year survivor! I survived because new insurance that particular year required an annual physical by a specific date. During the exam, my doctor discovered lumps. These lumps were aggressive. She had my ultrasound mammogram scheduled before I left her office. I’d had one not even a year earlier with no detection of any cancer. Without insurance, without a physician who cared and without a mammogram, I would not have survived stage 3C Breast Cancer.

It’s important to me that there is funding for women, and men, to obtain the healthcare they need.
