My Story

I first learned about Pledge the Pink when the Flock Stars landed on Oak Island in 2023. I was blown away by the overwhelming positive vibes of Laura’s flock! I was moved by the personal stories shared, the camaraderie, and the fun. While i am fortunate enough to not have had to fight this battle personally, my mother is a survivor. Through her, I learned to appreciate every sunset. Through PTP, I experienced the importance of a positive attitude and strong support system. What an incredible organization – one that focuses on not just research, but also providing mammograms, treatment and support for underinsured individuals – one that allows the fundraisers to bring funds back to their own communities.

This year, I am heading to Fripp Island with the Oak Island Ta-Ta’s. I am asking my family, friends and community to please help support this incredible organization. Any donation is greatly appreciated. Even $5 makes a difference! Every $100 raised represents a mammogram. We all know how important early detection is – every $100 raised provides someone the fighting chance of early detection. If our team raises $5,000, we can bring funds back to Brunswick County! Let’s join together to bring much needed support to our hometown!
