My Story
Losing my sister-in-law to metastatic breast cancer just 6 years after losing my brother was devastating. Watching their children grieve not the loss of one parent but both!
Our families were inseparable, our children more like siblings then cousins. My SIL was my best friend, my ride or die, the friend I would grow old with. We scrap booked, we vacationed, we took the kids everywhere. We just had the most fun doing everything and anything and sometimes nothing and that was fun too! Wherever we went people couldn’t believe we weren’t sisters. We just had that bond that some people have that makes being friends easy and fun, simple, that’s it, it was simple.
I should have known our ride was ending when she wouldn’t take my calls or let me come see her, was I really that bad of a driver that she’d rather die? Haha! If I didn’t make myself joke, she’d be made at me. We need a cure! It’s that simple WE NEED A CURE! So I walk for her, her daughters who need to get tested every year, all the women who have fought, who are fighting and sadly who will have to fight one day. KNOW you are not alone! We walk in your honor to help raise funds to help find you a cure. Please consider donating, even a small amount. Please don’t let anyone else’s ride or die ride off into the sunset.
