My Story

Breast Cancer. The two words no person wants to hear. Personally, I have been lucky myself…. but that does not mean it has not impacted me. My mom, lucy, was a fierce survivor! She looked at the beast and said, “Not this girl!” My amazing cousin is still battling the effects from a previous diagnosis… and I know and love countless other people who have fought the battle… lost the battle, and are still fighting! Obviously, this is a personal and passionate matter.

For several years, I had the honor to walk beside my friends and countless strangers as we dedicated a weekend each spring for our Avon Walk through DC. Those miles will never be lost on me.

I am once again walking in a few weeks…. here on my beautiful Oak Island as I PLEDGE THE PINK! Please consider donating to this important cause. xoxoxoxoxo
