My Story

This is our third year participating in the Pledge the Pink event. This started because we wanted the challenge of the 33.1 miles, but has blossomed into a relationship with an organization that does so much for individuals with breast cancer. There are many places to donate for breast cancer awareness or for breast cancer research. Research is so important, but what Pledge the Pink does is pay for mammograms, screenings and treatment for people who are fighting this disease. They’re out there with patients. A lot of them ARE patients. This organization is small but they’re growing and I am so proud to be a part of their growth. Please help us reach my goal of $1000 this year. Every $100 pays for a mammogram. That $100 could change a woman’s life. Every bit helps actual people. Last year we took the time to take our loved ones with us by writing their names on our bodies. Even if you can’t donate, I’m happy to take you or someone you love with us on our journey.
