My Story

I walk for so many people I love and miss. My family has been touched by cancer. I have lost at least 8 family members and 9 friends but I now am so fortunate to know so many more survivors of cancer. I lost some from breast cancer, lung, brain but all Cancers SUCK.

I started participating in the Pledge The Pink 30 mile 3 Day walk last year after the AVON 39 changed to 5K in association with ACS , So after 13 years of walk with AVON I have found a several other groups to walk with in honor of my sister Lisa .

She was only 41 when she lost her battle with breast cancer. Lisa survived only 18 months after being diagnosed. At 40 she had not yet had a mammogram .The doctors thought she had asthma. She was a busy wife, mother, working outside the home and like so many of us, she put ot
