My Story
Cancer SUCKS! All types of cancer. This year will look a little different for me. I will be attending PTP as a support staff for the walkers in this empowering event at Amelia Island, FL.
My Journey started in 2005. This July, I will be a 20 year survivor. I had to literally fight for my life and endured years of treatment. 8 Chemos, 35 Radiation Treatments, 1 year of Herceptin, 7 years of Arimidex, Surgeries, and now Lymphedoma in my left arm.
These walks are what drive me. I want my daughters and granddaughters to not have to deal with what I had to endure. The fundraising, the training, the traveling to these walks give me purpose and motivation. There is HOPE. I had a 20% chance I would make it to 5 years.
Every day is a gift and someone had to pave the way for me. I want to do my part. No donation is too small!
