My Story

I started walking because my mom passed away due to breast cancer in 2000. I been blessed to walk and fundraise, since 2008, in the 3-day, 60 mile walks in Atlanta & San Diego. With Atlanta’s walk ending, I walked in Boston and San Diego in 2019, with hopes of walking all four 3-days in 2020…. Enter COVID-19 and my hopes of participating in all four 3-days plus PTP were delayed until 2022… 2024 will be my 25th SGK Event in Denver and my 8th year being blessed to participate in Pledge the Pink. It is such a fun and worthy event! The atmosphere is inspiring, the scenery is amazing and the ladies I have been able to spend time with have been a joy to be around. I walk for awareness. I walk for those who cannot. I walk in memory of those we have lost and in honor of those who survive!
