My Story

Why am I walking? While I have blood relatives that have succumbed to different cancers, I walk in loving memory of Corinne Watson, my closest friend’s mother. She was a breast cancer survivor, and had a brain tumor when she passed away in 2017.

My husband and I have no children, so our cats are our children. In November 2020, we lost our oldest male Charlie to an aggressive cancer, and a month later, the day after Christmas, we lost my heart cat, Ashley, to cancer as well.

I wrote all three names in the beach sand on Hunting Island and I plan to write their names on the beach in Oak Island.

Please consider a donation to my breast cancer walk, if you haven’t already. It is important to find research to help all those personally affected by breast cancer and support Pledge the Pink.
