My Story
Once again, I am fundraising for breast cancer, specifically for a three day walk called Pledge the Pink.
Too many of my friends have been diagnosed with breast cancer and this past year it struck really close again! One of my fellow walkers was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer and is undergoing treatment!
I walk to raise money to find a cure and to support early detection programs.
This will be my first time walking Pledge the Pink and very excited about this organization and what they do. The Pledge the Pink Foundation started 8 years ago as a local charity in South Carolina and has developed into an organization that fundraises for breast cancer non-profit service providers across the USA. If our team raises $5,000, we will be able to designate the charity of our choice to receive our donations!
The mascot for the Pledge the Pink Walk is the pink flamingo because they represent HOPE! For every $100 raised a pink flamingo is added to a Flocks of Love display.
We hope you will consider adding to the flock by donating. Any amount will help.
