My Story

I am living a story I could never have imagined.

Someone I considered to be like a daughter to me, Elaine Faye, lost her four-year battle with breast cancer in 2022. Our family and friends were devastated. She was far too young, and her loss left a hole that can never truly be filled. This year, Elaine will be the angel running with me.

My own breast cancer battle began in 2024, and throughout my journey, so many people within the breast cancer community have lifted me up, supported me, and helped me keep moving forward. This is my way of giving back.

I need more virtual angels on my team, and I hope you will consider supporting this incredible cause.

Pledge the Pink is an amazing community dedicated to raising funds to support people going through their cancer journeys. This year, I will be taking on a 30-mile walk over three days.

It will be hard.

But it won’t be as hard as breast cancer.

It won’t be as hard as chemotherapy.

It won’t be as hard as getting bad news from your latest scan.

It won’t be as hard as saying goodbye.

And that’s why I know I have to do this.

That’s why I’m walking. That’s why I’m raising money. And that’s why I will keep putting one foot in front of the other—to help fund the fight and, one day, end breast cancer forever.

Elaine will be with me every step of the way.
