My Story

Friends and Family – It’s that time again….

I will be walking once more to help raise awareness and money for the fight against Breast Cancer. Close to the date of this event I will be almost 3 years out from my diagnosis of invasive DCIS (breast cancer). What a gift it is to say that – 3 years out! Not everyone is that fortunate. Every 2 minutes someone is diagnosed with breast cancer. That statistic isn’t just a number, it’s someone’s mother, sister, friend… or maybe even you.

This year’s fundraising goal is a little different and closer to home. My team of Hakuna Ma Tatas is raising money for a contrast enhanced mammogram MACHINE for a clinic in Central WI. Technology like this is helping millions of people get treated in the early stages of a diagnosis. 3D imaging was the only reason they caught my cancer – first hand. Help us bring this to life.
