My Story

Team Hakuna Ma Tatas is a passionate group of breast cancer survivors, friends and cancer fighters. I joined this team last year when we walked in the Susan G. Komen 3-day in San Diego, our team raising almost $100,000.00 toward breast cancer research and prevention.

This year we are participating in Pledge the Pink, and I’m so excited to help out with this great cause again. Through participation in this event, we are able to decide where the bulk of our funds go, so we can keep it local.

Team Hakuna Ma Tatas is on a mission to raise enough funds to purchase a contrast enhanced mammography (CEM) machine for our local breast center in central Wisconsin. CEM is new technology that can diagnose breast cancer earlier with higher accuracy than regular mammograms.
