My Story
Breast cancer sucks – let’s do something about it! I am raising money and awareness for breast cancer and a CURE!
I am doing this event with so much happiness and excitement and a tinge of sadness. I am excited about this event. It’s about women AND men who get together for 3 days of ten miles each day and wear pink while waving to each other as well as hug, cry, celebrate triumphs and honor those who are fighting or those who have fought but lost their life to breast cancer. I hope you will go on this journey with me in my fight to raise awareness and money for breast cancer.
This walk is in memory of my other mom Laurali who gained her wings too soon, almost 5 years ago. She is the sweetest, funniest, kindest and most sarcastic person you will ever meet. She fought so hard and fought this disease with everything she had. Laurali may have lost her fight but she didn’t lose her legacy of awesomeness. I want to continue her fight by helping find a cure for breast cancer, help women AND men who need a mammogram and can’t afford one to get one. These are for other mother’s, fathers, grandmothers, grandfathers, daughters, sons, sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, friends, cousins, mentors and just plain good people who need to be here!
My goal is raise $5,000.00 this year! This is a huge goal, that I have never met before, but I have good people in my life who know how important it is to help those fighting as well as find a cure for this horrible disease. I’m looking forward to walking for YOU Laurali. Thank you so much in advance. Now let’s kick cancers ASS!
