My Story

In 2014, my mother was diagnosed with Stage IV metastatic breast cancer. Her first mammogram was also her last. She passed away on June 6, 2015—just 15 months after her fight began.
Ten years later, I heard the same life-altering words:
“It’s cancer.”
But unlike my mother, my cancer was caught at Stage 0, thanks to early detection. That early diagnosis saved my life.
I’m on a mission to help others get the same chance by raising funds to provide free mammograms to women who are uninsured or underinsured. Early detection saves lives, and every $100 raised funds one free mammogram.

When my team reaches $5000 in donations, 75% of that money will be given to Turning Point Breast Cancer Rehabilitation right here in Georgia. Turning Point puts women who have been broken by cancer back together. The gratitude that I have for Turning Point can’t be put into words.
