My Story

I am a 2 time breast cancer survivor. I was so very lucky that both times it was caught early and I had access to the best care. I had to endure multiple surgeries each time and chemo for the triple negative breast cancer. I am recovered and strong these days and hope to stay that way. I enjoy staying active so training for 3 days of long walks is possible even though time consuming. Breast cancer is not a walk in the park, it is more like a marathon. I walk for friends who lost their battle with breast cancer: Karen, Tammy, and Jessie and those still fighting. I walk to raise funds for research because research is the answer. More people are surviving than ever before thanks to the latest advances in diagnosis and treatments. There is still a long way to go to make every case treatable.
