My Story

My love of walking came from my mother who first allowed me to join her on her training walks culminating in a 60-mile, 3-day walk in 2013. Since then, she’s fundraised and completed a 30- or 60-mile walk for breast cancer research and education yearly. Last year, she and I completed 30 miles in 3 days (in our beautiful home town!) virtually through Pledge the Pink, and we are extremely fortunate that we get to travel back to the heart of this event this October for 30 more miles.

Joined by my sister and mother this year, we are walking in hopes of being one step closer to research that may be life-changing for so many who are affected by cancer.

I walk in honor and memory of great friends and family members who have been afflicted with brain, breast, colon, liver, pancreatic and uterine cancers. If you are able to donate any amount to help us fight this ugly battle with breast cancer, or spread the word in the hopes that others may contribute, I would be so grateful!
