My Story
On October 21st, 22nd, and 23rd, 2023I will be participating AGAIN in the Pledge the Pink Breast Cancer Walk, along with my team Terry’s Angels. My Angels were a HUGE support for me when I had breast cancer. We met each other walking to end BC years ago at the Avon Walks. We are a band of 8 women, “Senior Citizens,” from SC, NC, CA, TN, OR, AZ/MT and OH/CO. Two of us
are BC survivors. All of us have family members, friends, coworkers and loved ones who have had breast cancer. Last year our team raised over $7,000. We were able to choose a non-profit
to donate 80% of our fundraising. We chose the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, a very highly rated organization searching for ways to end BC.
So many non-profits are asking for donations in these times. Too many women-especially young women- are being diagnosed with BC. Many do not have money needed for detection and treatment. Please consider donating to Pledge the Pink Foundation. Your funds WILL be used to help them AND to further research to end BC.
