The J Team

Support our J Team as we walk 30 miles over 3 days at Oak Island this October in the Pledge the Pink Breast Cancer Walk! We are a group of friends who—like many of you—have been personally impacted by breast cancer. Our team name is inspired by 2 friends: our dear friend Joy died one year ago after a courageous battle against triple negative inflammatory breast cancer; our team member Janice is a breast cancer survivor continuing to thrive. Over the past 2 years we have had no less than 10 friends in our community receive a breast cancer diagnosis. Help us support the fight for a cure, for more effective treatments, and for access to mammograms for early diagnosis!

We are walking in support of all our Elizabethtown-White Lake-Clarkton-Bladenboro and Bladen County friends, and are excited to set an ambitious goal for ourselves on our debut walk of $5K! Teams that raise a minimum of $5K may direct a percentage of funds to specific charities. It will be our privilege to walk in honor and memory of the friends and family of our supporters. Please message us with names and suggest charities you’d like to see us support with our funds!
