My Story

Life does not truly prepare you for cancer to hit so close to home. When my baby sister, Amanda, was diagnosed with breast cancer several years ago, it rocked me to the core. But Amanda is a fighter, and quickly beat the cancer beast into remission! ….but then it came back…. Since 2017, Amanda’s been fighting for her life against Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer, with mets to her skull and her lung. My admiration for my little sister continues to grow as she demonstrates daily her love of life and living in the moment. We just recently learned her mets are growing. Not good news, but she is in the hands of an amazing oncologist and continues to fight against this beast. None of us know what life holds for us, but it SHOULD NOT be cancer. I’m raising money for Pledge the Pink because breast cancer (and all cancers) need a cure, and my baby sis needs a break! Please help if you can!
