My Story

I was fortunate not to be “touched” by cancer until I was in my late 30’s, when our Connecticut community lost an amazing friend. Since moving to Charlotte, I lost my dad to cancer. I am now watching a very dear friend, Amanda, fight her 3rd battle against breast cancer. It’s not fair!

I want a world where my children can grow up and not worry about cancer. I have wondered, what can I do? With your help, Pledge the Pink is giving me the chance to make a difference. Over three days in October, I will walk 30 miles. I will be walking with Team #AmandaStrong.

My personal goal is to raise at least $1,000 for Pledge the Pink to help fund breast cancer screenings, so women can get screenings they need. We can all help save lives. Please help me to achieve my goal of seeing a day when daughters and mothers are not lost to this dreaded disease.
