My Story

As I get ready to drive to SC for my first Pledge the Pink three-day walk to benefit breast cancer screening, treatment and research programs, I’m asking for your support. I have the privilege of walking with a seasoned flock of caring and generous women led by my dear friend, devoted Mom and breast cancer warrior Amanda Edwards.

Early detection is the best way to fight this terrible disease and every $50 raised provides a free mammogram to a woman who would otherwise have gone without. One in eight ladies will be diagnosed with breast cancer at some point in their life. Mammograms can help reduce the number of deaths from breast cancer by 30-40%.

Every penny of our race proceeds goes straight to 501 (c)(3) nonprofits and provides funding for heroic, budget-restricted, non-profit, service providers.

Please consider helping with a donation for this wonderful cause that benefits the courageous women who “Fight Like a Girl!”
