My Story

This year, I am participating in a 3-day, 30-mile PLEDGE the PINK walk in loving memory of my sister, Bonniejean (BJ) Crist.

Two years ago, I lost not only my sister, but one of my closest friends and one of the strongest women I’ve ever known. BJ courageously fought breast cancer for 20 years, facing every challenge with strength, grace, and unwavering hope.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, teacher, and role model who inspired everyone around her. Her love, faith, and determination continue to live on in all of us who were blessed to know her.

I walk in her honor—and for all the family and friends we want to protect from the impact of breast cancer.
• Every step I take is for BJ
• Every mile is for hope
• Every donation helps move us closer to a cure
