My Story

I believe it’s safe to say that breast cancer has touched us all in some way. My mother is a survivor. My aunt and cousin survived, but my grandmother didn’t. I have friends who have fought and won—some who have had to fight twice! So I have chosen to ‘Pledge the Pink,’ again this year and in October I will walk 30 miles over three days to bring awareness to this disease, to honor those who have survived, and to remember those who did not and to help raise funds for those who are fighting now but need the assistance to do so.

I have set up this fundraising page to raise $600 by October 1st, and I hope you’ll consider making a donation to help me reach, or better yet, beat my goal!

Pledge the Pink is a nonprofit organization dedicated to funding breast cancer screenings, treatments, and research. And, unlike other charities, they provide funds for free mammograms, medical assistance, and outreach to those that need it most.
